‘Out of Office Messages’ is the personal blog of Pete Goold, MD of Punch Communications.

Since it was founded in 2003, Punch has evolved from its roots as a PR agency to integrate PR, Search and Social media activities for clients in Europe, the US and elsewhere around the globe, managing their reputations both on and offline. The team manages global social media and SEO activities for brands such as Sony Ericsson, creating and managing social media activities which have seen this brand rise to become the most engaged, globally, to be using Facebook, as of September 2011 (AllFacebook).

Having been in the PR industry for 17 years, Pete is a passionate evangelist about the adoption of PR2.0 techniques – blogging and social media – and organic search/SEO, particularly when both are alongside traditional PR and media relations activities.

Outside work, Pete spends time with three women of varying heights that each keep him in check. With whatever time remains, he likes to read comics, surf, watch rugby and sleep as much as possible.
